Shershaah: Sidharth Malhotra – Kiara Advani to star in Vikram Batra’s biopic

Many filmmakers in Bollywood are currently cashing in on war films. After Paltan and Kesari, another film in the same genre has been announced by Dharma Productions. The film is titled Shershaah and it will be based on the real-life story of Kargil war hero Vikram Batra.

Starring Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani in the lead roles, the project will be helmed by Vishnu Varadhan. With the announcement, Dharma Productions also revealed that the shooting of the biopic will begin soon. The film will be co-produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Shabbir Boxwala, Ajay Shah and Himanshu Gandhi. If the story is based on a war hero then we will get to see Sidharth as a soldier for the second time after Aiyaary. Work wise, Kiara will be next seen with Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh in Good News.
