Balaji Telefilms is one of the biggest production houses in India. Headlined by television’s Czarina, Ekta Kapoor, it strives to bring forward good content to the audience. While the production house has given all of us some cult shows, it has managed to become a household name since 1994. The company changed its name from Balaji to Balaji Telefilms in 2000 and Ekta Kapoor’s brother and actor Tusshar Kapoor was a part of the board running this establishment. However, there is some bad news for all the Balaji fans.

Actor Tusshar Kapoor who was the non-executive non-independent director of Balaji Telefilms has stepped down from his post yesterday, citing some personal reasons behind it. Yes, a filing by BSE read, “We wish to inform you that Mr Tusshar Kapoor, Non-Executive Non-Independent Director of the Company has tendered his resignation from the office of the Director of the Company with effect from March 27, 2019, due to personal reason and preoccupation.” We tried to contact the Golmaal actor regarding the same but he has been unavailable to comment. This surely is a big step that Tusshar has taken, and we wonder what would be the “personal reason”.

While we wait for Tusshar to shed light on this matter, let us tell you, on the professional front, Tusshar was last having a cameo in Simmba in the song Aankh Maare. It is being said, that the actor might appear in the next instalment of Golmaal. While we wait for an official statement from Balaji Telefilms, stay tuned to CineBlitz for more updates, news and gossip from the world of television and Bollywood.
