Jaina ShahActor Siddhant Chaturvedi had a huge debut with Gully Boy that also starred Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. While his role of MC Sher made him a nation-wide sensation, especially among the females, recently, the newcomer got nostalgic talking about his role and how he prepared for it.
Talking about the prepping sessions and the skills he developed for the role, the actor said “Being a Bombay boy, the street slang and accent came quite easily. What I had to work on was the voice modulation and building my body weight to hit 90 kgs.” He also spoke about his audition and rapping skills which he had to improvise for the character. “I went the next day (for the Gully Boy audition) with my own rap song prepared, which I belted out even though I knew nothing about rapping. And the rest, as they say, is history,” he added.
Besides Gully Boy, Siddhant had already been a part of an online web-series Inside Edge under Excel Entertainment and is currently preparing for the show’s season 2. Making his mark in the film industry with his roles, the actor has been offered a lot of roles by the filmmakers however he has decided to choose the ones which would rule over the audience’s hearts.
