Somy Ali reacts to Sushmita Sen’s health update

Actress Sushmita Sen got a heart attack, and the news was a shocker as she has always been a fit and happy person. The health scenario is unpredictable, says actress Somy Ali. Somy, who now runs a US based NGO called No More Tears and helps victims of domestic violence and rape, says that she has always been close to Sushmita and was shocked when she heard this.

“I have known Sush for almost 28 years now and I was beyond shocked and concerned when I heard the news. I do not see any correlation between Sush being fit and eternally carrying an optimistic view on life when it comes to health issues. I am not a doctor, so I do not know why this happened, but it really makes one sit back and ponder on the uncertainties of our existence. Anything can happen to any of us at any time. This is a harsh reality of life that we must accept and comprehend. Sush has grasped every talent and success in her life possible, so it definitely does not relate to her being under any pressure pertaining to her career. She is one of the most successful actors and extremely humble, in spite of her immense success,” she says.

She adds, “If it stems from something in her personal life that is none of my business as I respect her as well as her privacy. The key factor here is that she is healthy and there were many who prayed for her health and the doctors took excellent care of her. She will always remain in my prayers and I will eternally wish her the best in life. She is and always will be one of my role models. It’s not often you come across purely and genuinely good people in life and Sush is definitely one of those human beings. She has a huge heart and one that only knows the meaning of giving rather than receiving. How can such a beautiful heart ever be broken or hurt. When it gives and gives to no end. Sush is the true definition of love and a loving heart. She is a soldier and I know she has already risen through this mishap. I miss her always and wish her lots of love all the way from Miami.”
