Somy Ali’s take on love!

Former bollywood actress Somy Ali who runs an NGO called No More tears and lives in Miami has a very unique take on love. She says, ” Love has a different meaning for me as I have gotten older. When I was a teenager, I was madly in love and it was all that drove me in life. However, that was romantic, stupid and young love.But now, as an adult, love for me is intertwined with No More Tears. That is the real definition of love for me. To help others in need is love and therefore, Valentine’s day for me is everyday given that No More Tears has no days off.

The key word is “unconditional.” When one gives without expecting anything in return that is the true definition of love for me. In our culture, this is best exhibited by parents in how they love their children and how most siblings love each other.  At No More Tears, I try my best to give the survivors I work with unconditional love.
