Even as praise continues to pour in for her performance in Kalank, Sonakshi Sinha has already gotten busy with her next. The actress had earlier spoken about having less screen time in the multi-starrer. She justified it saying that as long as the role is that of a strong character, the length doesn’t matter. Kalank is doing well at the box office, even as Sonakshi is currently busy with her next filmBhuj: The Pride of India. Interestingly, this film too is a multi-starrer which stars Sonakshi, Ajay Devgn, Parineeti Chopra, Sanjay Dutt and Ammy Virk.

About her role in Bhuj, Sonakshi shares, “I think that the character in itself is very strong, Women made the entire runaway in one night for planes to land. This is one lady who got 300 women together and convinced them to build the runway while there was bombing going on.” What’s interesting is that the actress was offered the same role twice before in different films. She said, “But I wasn’t able to do either because of other commitments. Finally, Bhuj happened. As they say, some roles are just meant for you.

The film Bhuj: The Pride of India is directed by Abhishek Dedhaiya and it is about 300 women who rebuilt a damaged runway in one night during the 1971 war with Pakistan. It is set to be released next year (2020). For more such updates on Bollywood stay tuned to CineBlitz.
