With many spectacular films being readied to entertain the audience on the big screen, seems like the ball has set rolling for T-series magnum opus too. Bhuj: The Pride Of India that was going to feature Ajay Devgn has found its ensemble cast which is quite impressive. The makers bring a crucial real-life incident from the history books to the big screen, with Ajay Devgn in the lead role as IAF wing commander Vijay Karnik. The film also features Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Rana Daggubati, Parineeti Chopra and Punjabi superstar Ammy Virk.

As for the characters, Sanjay Dutt will be seen playing Ranchordas Svabhai Ravari aka Paji, a civilian, who helped the Indian Army win the war. In fact, his character will be the one who can identify a person’s gender, height and weight by their footprints. Sonakshi will be seen playing Sunderben Jetha Madharparya, a social worker and farmer woman, who convinces the other 299 women from Madhapur to help built the runway. Baahubali fame Rana Daggubati will be seen playing the role of Madras regiment Lt Colonel who was posted in Vighakot chowki and fought the Indo-Pak 1971 war. Kesari actress Parineeti Chopra will be seen playing an Indian spy who stays in Lahore. Ammy Virk will play a fighter pilot who had a very crucial role in this historic win.

Bhuj: The Pride Of India, celebrates the courage of the 300 women of Madhapur in Gujarat, who played a pivotal part in India’s victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war. It tells us the story of how these women came together to repair the only runway in Bhuj that was destroyed during the war. The film is written and directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya, and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Ginny Khanuja, Vajir Singh, Abhishek Dudhaiya and Kumar Mangat Pathak.
