After impressing one and all with its heartwarming storyline, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga has achieved the unimaginable! Starring Sonam K Ahuja, Rajkummar Rao, Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla and Reginna Cassandra; the movie has made it to the Oscar library. Yes, we aren’t kidding! The makers got a request from the Library of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Ain’t that cool? About same sex relationships, the movie has received praise from each and every corner of the world. And hence, The Academy wants to preserve its screenplay.

The request came in the form of a letter to Vidhu Vinod Chopra Films (the makers of Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga). It read as, “We here in the Library of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences are now interested in acquiring a copy of the screenplay EK LADKI KO DEKHA TOH AISA LAGA for the permanent core collection. Materials in our core collection are made available for study only in our reading room. Scripts never circulate from the building and all copying is strictly forbidden. We are a research library freely open to all – students, filmmakers and writers as well as those with general interests make up our user profile.”

This is truly a moment of pride for every one associated with Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. However, let us tell you that this is not the only Indian movie which is a part of the Oscar library.
