At a promotional event of the film the entire cast interacted with the press. Present at the event were the producer of the film Vidhu Vinod Chopra, actor Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Juhi Chawla and Rajkumar Rao. While addressing the media and sharing anecdotes of the film Sonam Kapoor narrated an incident about Vidhu Vinod Chopra that was surprising for every one present. Sonam Kapoor said, “Vidhu thought I wasn’t the right choice for the film but later after watching the film he realized and said that Sonam is the right one for this film.” Replying to Sonam, producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra said, “I did think earlier that Sonam won’t fit. But I was really surprised and convinced by the way she did her role. No one else could have done it better.”

Sonam further added that the she knows Vidhu but he still didn’t approach her directly and told others to approach her for the film. The film is directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s younger sister Shelly Chopra Dhar and this will be her directorial debut in Bollywood. Anil Kapoor and Juhi Chawla play the parents of Sonam Kapoor and in the film she has a secret which affects the entire family. It will be interesting to see the father- daughter duo work together in the same film.

Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aisa Laga is being touted as the most unexpected romantic film with quite a few twists in the love story. Buzz is that it’s about a same-sex relationship.
