Akshay Kumar and Rohit Shetty have been making headlines for a long time now for their upcoming cop drama Sooryavanshi. The two have been keeping the fans excited too with the constant updates from the sets of Sooryavanshi. However, the latest development about the movie’s release date being preponed to make way for Salman Khan’s Eid release Inshallah next year has left the fans angry. The news of the shift in the release date of the movie is not being taken well by the fans and Twitter trends such as “#BoycottSooryavanshi” and “ShameOnRohitShetty” surfaced online. Akshay Kumar was then compelled to request his fans not to promote such negative trends.
The action star took to Twitter and posted a message for his fans saying, “Since the past few days I’ve noticed some negative trends being done by people dearest to me… you guys. I can see and understand your angst, all I do is request you all with folded hands not to start/participate in such trends. I took up Sooryavanshi with a very positive outlook, let’s continue making and releasing it in the same way.” Check out his post right here:

For the uninitiated, Sooryavanshi’s new release date – March 27 – was announced not by Rohit or Akshay, but by Salman Khan himself through a social media post. The film was initially releasing on Eid 2020 along with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Salman Khan – Alia Bhatt-starrer Inshallah. Stay tuned to CineBlitz for more news and updates.
