The 1993 hit film Darr is a milestone in Shah Rukh Khan’s career, as he shot to further stardom post it. Alongside SRK, the film had starred Juhi Chawla and Sunny Deol. It may be recalled that it was during the shoot of the film that SRK and Sunny had some differences that led to the two stars not talking to each other for over 16 years now.

While in an interview with a portal recently, Sunny recalled the incident from the sets that had upset him and made him stay away from SRK and the late filmmaker Yash Chopra for long. In the film, Sunny plays the role of a commando, while SRK played the villain. The argument started when Sunny pointed out that it wouldn’t be easy for anyone to stab a commando from the front, unless the character doesn’t know that he’s getting stabbed, since commandos are strong, skilled and prepared for such situations. However, Yash Chopra didn’t agree to this and they got into a heated argument. During the argument, Sunny’s hands were in his pockets which he ripped off in anger and he only realised it much later.

Adding to that, Sunny Deol shared that he isn’t much of a social person, so there’s no time when he met Shah Rukh and had a chance to have a conversation. While the conversation started with Sunny Deol saying, “I guess, they must be scared because they were wrong.” Clearly, looks like the Deol hasn’t forgotten it yet.

Darr was released in 1993 and was successful at the box office. Stay tuned to CineBlitz for more news and updates in Bollywood.
