Hrithik Roshan’s film Super 30 by Vikas Bahl has been into trouble since its trailer launch due to his dark complexion in the movie. Netizens have given negative feedback over this and the makers have defended it in every possible way.

Recently, the film’s leading lady Mrunal Thakur also defended Hrithik’s look. Talking to a leading daily, she said “I think it was required for the character. Whenever I saw Hrithik in his dark complexion, I would end up calling him Anand and not Hrithik. When people see the film, they will understand why it was necessary. In Love Sonia (2018), they (the makers) made me three or four shades darker, and it worked”

The movie is based on the life of Anand Kumar, Patna-based mathematician, who teaches unprivileged kids for free and helps them secure a coveted Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) seat. Even Anand has defended Hrithik’s look and said that darkening actor’s skin was essential for the film. He was earlier quoted by a media house saying “If I talk about colour, when you teach kids in immense heat in a room that is made of tin-shed, your skin tone gets darker and since they saw me like that in my videos, they replicated it in the film. Log ye baat samajh nahi rahe hai.

After many difficulties, the movie is finally releasing on July 12 this year and also stars Stree actor Pankaj Tripathi in a major role. For more Bollywood news and updates, stay tuned with CineBlitz.
