Sushant Singh Rajput’s much-awaited film Sonchiriya is making the right kind of noises since its first look came out. The film directed by Abhishek Chaubey promises to deliver an intriguing tale of dacoits. And it has already got a thumbs-up from the critics. Sushant plays a dacoit in the ravines of Chambal along with team leader, Manoj Bajpayee and Ranvir Shorey. Ashutosh Rana plays a cop out to tackle this gang. While the premise and the characters of the film are interesting on their own, Sushant feels lucky to be a part of this film for more reasons than one.
An excited Sushant has often expressed his gratitude on getting to work with such a talented ensemble cast and on being able to bag a role like this. During an event, he said, “I have always been a huge fan of Manoj Sir and Ashutosh Sir. Watching their performances is inspiring and getting to work with them is no less than a dream come true.” He further added, “They are like the institution of acting. I think that working with them will always be among my achievements.” The actor couldn’t stop gushing about his love for the two stars as he hugged them both. The actor feels that the two senior actors have just been like his mentors. They have helped him improve in many ways throughout the film. Sushant also revealed that he has always followed the kind of work Manoj and Ashutosh have done previously. And felt that he is going in the right direction if he has bagged a film with these big, talented names.
This film also features Bhumi Pednekar, who like everyone else in the film, has bagged appreciation for her power-packed performance. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP Movies, Sonchiriya is a must-watch when it releases tomorrow on March 1. Meanwhile, stay tuned to CineBlitz for more such updates from the world of Bollywood.
