Taapsee Pannu has banned herself from watching Pune 7 Aces play – here’s why

Taapse Pannu has been doing promotional rounds for her film Badla that just released yesterday. She was recently invited on comedian-host Abhish Mathew’s show with Shakti Mohan and the three were a laughing riot. In conversation, Taapsee shared some really funny and humble stories that were endearing. And her humble tales are what maker her just like normal girls with zero air about herself. And we loved seeing this side of Taapsee.

Turns out, Taapsee is a smart entrepreneur and a very savvy businesswoman. Did you know, she is an owner of a badminton team- Pune 7 Aces? So, Taapsee shared when she was younger she was a total sports buff. She admittedly watched more sports on television than movies or other kid things. Her interest in badminton reached its height when she started watching badminton matches live at multiple courts and feel even more passionate about it. That’s when she decided she would want to be the first actor to invest in a sport like badminton. That’s how Pune 7 Aces actually happened.

Host Abhish then shared this story when he was invited by Taapsee as a guest for one of her team matches and that story cracked us up. Taapsee further narrated this incident where at the same game every time she would hide in a restroom so that her team would start playing better and when she’d be back they would start losing points. It came to a point where the guests and the audience were cheering “Jao Jao”  to Taapsee out of superstition.  It was almost like she wasn’t allowed to watch the team she had bought that one time.

Cracking up on the sofa as she was narrating the story, Taapsee confessed to locking herself up in the restroom, but found it really hard to pass time and so much time was still left for the match to be over. She funnily also said about the aunties in the restroom who would ask her for selfies at this point, when she was nervous sitting in the toilet. It was really very hilarious.  Nice to see Taapsee to be this light-hearted and to have such good humor. Looks like there is no wrong Taapsee Pannu can do at this minute.
