Sonam Kapoor’s Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga impressed one and all. The unconventional love story of two girls appealed to a lot of people across the world. In fact, everyone lauded Sonam’s performance. However, recent media reports surprised one and all. Rumours are doing the rounds that Taapsee Pannu was the first choice for Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. It was also said that she was on-board till the time Anil Kapoor joined the movie. The veteran star then insisted on Sonam’s inclusion in the film and that’s when Taapsee was chucked out. But is this what happened? Well, producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra has spoken up and set the record straight.
Vidhu Vinod Chopra in his statement revealed, “This is to address all the media reports that have been floating around about Taapsee Pannu being offered Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. I am the producer of the film and I have never met her in my life. Sonam was the first person cast in the film even before Anil Kapoor. This clarification is a matter principle. Articles like this undermine the movie making process and are making a mockery out of a film that means a lot to us and the whole LGBTQI community.”
Well, we never believed the rumours! And with Vidhu Vinod Chopra setting the record straight, looks like all the reports will die down too. What do you guys have to say about this development?
