Tabu – Ishaan Khatter to star in THIS web series together!

With the growing acceptance of digital content amongst the audience, many actors have made the plunge in the web space. We have already seen Saif Ali Khan, Pankaj Tripathi, Vicky Kaushal, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Bhumi Pednekar, Kiara Advani star in web series and now joining the bandwagon is De De Pyaar De actor Tabu and the Dhadak star Ishaan Khatter. The two will be seen in Mira Nair’s web series next.

While it was reported that Ishaan has opted out of Mira’s web series for Vishal Bhardwaj’s web series based on Midnight’s Children, looks like Ishaan has changed his mind after all. The web series will mark Tabu’s second project with Mira after The Namesake and in this series based on Vikram Chandra’s book A Suitable Boy, Tabu will essay the role of the primary female antagonist. Interestingly, Tabu has earlier played Shahid Kapoor’s mother in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Haider. And now to see her work with Shahid’s brother Ishaan will be something to watch out for.

Mira Nair’s project has been in the queue for around two years now and has finally seen some progress. It was initially given a green signal by Netflix but was recently been pulled out. Mira, now, plans to get the series running by mid-2019 with BBC now on board as producers. Stay tuned to CineBlitz for more such update and news.
