Takht: Karan Johar just dropped a major hint about the film’s release – find out

Karan Johar’s period opus Takht has dominated the headlines today and the film is in the research stage right now, as announced by the director himself. Karan Johar took to his social media handle to share a few glimpses from the preparations that are ongoing in the Dharma den. Well, the film is going on floors later in December this year or early January of the coming year, and it is set to release in 2020. The release at one point looked impossible looking at the schedule, but worry not, it is coming out in 2020  and we know the month as well.

Actually the story that Karan uploaded on Instagram revealed the release month itself, it just needed an eagle-eyed observation. The story begins with Johar zooming into the framed poster of Takht in his office, and if you observe the bottom portion, it says ‘December 2020’. So now we know, Takht is set to release probably in 2020.

Takht is said to be a period drama that revolves around the Mughal era, and stars Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, Anil Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and Janhvi Kapoor.
