The Kapil Sharma Show: After a monumental start, Kapil Sharma’s comic show SLIPS to fifth spot in TRP ratings

Kapil Sharma came back all guns blazing with The Kapil Sharma Show. The second season the hit comedy show premiered on December 29. And in the first week, it topped the TRP and BARC charts. The Kapil Sharma Show crushed all competition and became the number one show on Indian television. If you remember, the first season of the comic show was quite popular. Being number one was a norm week in and week out. However, looks like the aim to make India laugh again hasn’t been achieved. This is because of the fact that the viewership of The Kapil Sharma Show has dropped. And with that Kapil Sharma’s show has slipped to number five in the TRP ratings! Surprised?

In one month, The Kapil Sharma Show has gone from being number one to number three and now number five. Clearly, the competition is engaging the viewers even more than Kapil Sharma and his team. Currently, Rohit Shetty’s Khatron Ke Khiladi is numero uno. It had 9.4 million impressions last week. Coming in second is Naagin 3, which had 8.3 million impressions. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai completes the top three with 7 million impressions last week. Super Dancer Grand Premiere (6.9 million impressions), The Kapil Sharma Show (6.5 million impressions), Kundali Bhagya (6.2 million impressions) and RadhaKrishn (6.1 million impressions) follow suit.
