Disney’s The Lion King was one of the most-anticipated films this year and the teaser, trailer and posters had only added to the excitement. The film released in India on July 19 and has become an audience favourite in no time. Achieving a new milestone and a big one, The Lion King now has the third-highest opening weekend afterAvengers: Endgame and Avengers: Infinity War. The film has crossed the Rs 50 crore mark at the Indian box office in its very first week and here are all the deets.
The Lion King now stands at a total box office collection of Rs 54.75 crore at the domestic market. Considering that the film had a normal three days weekend in India, the film is now the third-highest opener in India after the last two Avengers films. The film that only saw growth in the collections earned Rs 24.54 crore on the first Sunday.
