The Voice India winner: Haryana’s Sumit Saini is victorious

The hit reality singing show, The Voice, saw its finale yesterday and Sumit Saini from Haryana was announced as the winner of this season. Sumit belonged to ace singer Harshdeep Kaur’s team. Winning the hearts of the judges and the nation, the boy has been a favourite of the masses throughout the show.

This was the third season of the popular show and had youth sensation Armaan Malik, Kanika Kapoor, Harshdeep Kaur and Adnan Sami as the mentors and the legendary maestro A R Rahman as the super judge.

Sumit took home the trophy and prize money of Rs 25 Lakh. Netizens have been pouring their love and praises for him since he was announced the winner. Sumit’s final stroke at the finale was when he sang Enna Sona from OK! Jaanu which is composed by the maestro Rahman himself. The song took the judges by storm and, thus, made him the winner. Sumit belongs to a farmer’s family in Haryana and had begun singing at a very young age.
