Tina Dutta #MeToo controversy: Daayan actress opens up about allegations on Mohit Malhotra – read official statement

Since yesterday, Uttaran actress Tina Dutta had been making headlines as she accused her current co-star Mohit Malhotra of touching her inappropriately while shooting a scene for their show Daayan. The television actress also stated that her co-star was quite annoying and frustrated. Though Tina had been restraining from making any further statements, she issued one late last night. Surprisingly, the actress has chosen to make a ‘new start’ with Mohit. In her statement, Tina said, “I and Mohit have ironed out the differences. We have concluded to make a new start. I don’t have any issues working with him. Our on-screen chemistry works for the show and shall maintain a professional environment for the betterment of the show. I am happy that our audience has liked the show and I am sure this new start will be appreciated by all and will put a rest to any further speculation.”

Well, looks like the actress wants to focus more on her work than her personal differences. Talking about the controversy, she also added that her fans and production team have been quite supportive. “My social media handles are full of fan messages. The fan pages and their edited videos with beautiful songs are amazing. So it’s, wonderful to receive such unfathomable love from the fans.” As we all know, the #MeToo movement shook entire the nation last year when it gained momentum on social media.
