Uri actor Navtej Hundal passes away

It’s a sad day for Bollywood as the film fraternity has lost yet another talented actor. Navtej Hundal, who was last seen in Vicky Kaushal’s military drama Uri: The Surgical Strike, took his last breath yesterday in Mumbai. The reason for his death is still unknown. For those unaware, Navtej essayed the role of the home minister in Aditya Dhar’s directorial venture which released in January this year and also featured Yami Gautam, Paresh Rawal and television actor Mohit Raina in pivotal roles.

Yesterday, Cine and TV Artiste’s Association (CINTAA) confirmed the news of his passing away on social media. A tweet was sent out from the official page of the association which said, “#CINTAA expresses its deepest condolence on the demise of Shri Navtej Hundal. May his soul Rest in Peace. The cremation is at Oshiwara Crematorium, Relief Rd, Prakash Nagar, Dnyaneshwar Nagar, Jogeshwari (W) at 11 am. @sushant_says @amitbehl1 @SuneelSinha @ayubnasirkhan.”

The deceased actor is survived by his wife and two daughters. His daughter Avantika Hundal is currently seen on the popular Star Plus show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein wherein she plays the role of Mihika. Apart from Uri, Navtej Hundal also worked in films like Khalnayak, Tere Mere Sapne and The Whisperers. He even used to conduct acting classes for aspiring actors and was part of TV shows like Bharat Ek Khoj. We at CineBlitz pay our condolences to the suffering family.
