Varun – Alia’s Kalank BEATS Shah Rukh – Katrina’s Zero to become the highest viewed teaser in 24 hours

The much-awaited teaser of Kalank was released yesterday (March 12) at an event and since then fans have been going gaga over it and how! There was already a lot of buzz around the teaser plus everyone was dying to watch the star cast of the film as well. The love-saga, which is directed by Abhishek Varman, stars Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sonakshi Sinha in important roles. While the film does look like a blockbuster, the teaser which came out yesterday was nothing less than epic. So much so that it garnered a record 26 million views in just 24 hours across social media platforms.

The two-minute teaser hardly has any dialogues but it still wowed the audience and teleported everyone quite literally to the 1940s. No wonder, fans can’t get enough of it and hence have been binge-watching the Kalank teaser. The last film which created such euphoria with its teaser release was Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero. It had received 24 million views but with 26 million views Kalank has now beaten its record.

Kalank, which is co-produced by Karan Johar, Sajid Nadiadwala and Fox Star Studios, is without a doubt one of the biggest releases of this year. While the magnum opus will hit the screens only on April 17, everyone is now looking forward to the trailer of the film. After the magnificent teaser, even we are eager to see what’s next in store for us. So let’s hope KJo doesn’t make us wait too long and releases the trailer soon.
