Veteran photographer Pradeep Bandekar missed and mourned by Bollywood stars

My dear colleague photographer Pradeep Bandekar, who had closely worked with several stars in his career spanning decades, breathed his last on August 11 in the wee hours of August 11, according to his son Prathamesh. He was 70 at the time of his passing. His son Prathamesh immediately rushed him to the hospital where he was declared dead on arrival by the doctor. He died due to heart attack at his home after feeling unwell following a family dinner, as per reports. A prayer meet was held for the photographer in Mumbai on Friday.

The moving prayer meet was attended by some of the biggest names in the industry, including Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and Vidya Balan. The prayer meeting was attended by several stars from the film industry.

In a career spanning almost four long decades, Pradeep Bandekar had worked closely with Ajay Devgn, Manoj Bajpayee and other members of the film industry. He also worked with names like including Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Shah Rukh Khan, and Sanjay Dutt, to name a few. Vicky Kaushal to Vidya Balan, and Anil Kapoor to Poonam Dhillon , quite a few celebs attended veteran photographer Pradeep Bandekar’s prayer meet.

Super star Shah Rukh Khan took some time out from his busy schedule and stepped out to pay his respect to late veteran press photographer Pradeep Bandekar at a prayer meet. Shah Rukh was seen wearing white shirt paired with denims, and black shades. He seemed to be in a sombre mood. The actor attended the prayer meet with his manager Pooja Dadlani.

Besides Shah Rukh Khan, other stars including Aamir Khan, Gulshan Grover, Jackie Shroff, with his signature plant, Dalip Tahil, Sonali Kulkarni, Poonam Dhillon, action director Sham Kaushal, Varun Dhawan etc. were the other prominent celebs who attended veteran photographer Pradeep Bandekar’s prayer meet, organised by his son Prathamesh Bandekar at the Sun N Sand.
