Vidya Balan wraps up Nerkonda Paarvai; writes a heartwarming message for Boney Kapoor

CineBlitz had exclusively reported that actress Vidya Balan was signed on for Boney Kapoor’s Tamil film Nerkonda Paarvai. The film, which is being produced by Boney Kapoor, is the remake of Shoojit Sircar’s highly acclaimed production venture Pink that starred Taapsee Pannu and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead. The Hindi courtroom drama came out in 2016 and went on to win the National Award for Best Film on Other Social Issues. Boney’s film is being helmed by H Vinoth, who earlier directed the hit South film Theeran.  This is the first time that Boney Kapoor has ventured into the Tamil film industry and congratulatory messages are already pouring in for him.

Vidya Balan, who stars in the film, has finished shooting for Nerkonda Paarvai and she took to social media to share a message for Boney after the wrap-up. The actress posted a cute picture of her with Boney on her Instagram stories and wrote, “Congratulations #boneykapoor on the completion of shoot on your frist #Tamilfilm,#naerkondapaarvi Glad to be part of this special one @arjunkapoor @jhanvikapoor @anshulakapoor #khushikapoor.”Dressed in a pink and white striped shirt, Vidya looks pretty in the photo alongside Senior Kapoor who also looks cool in his casual avatar. Boney later reshared Vidyas post on his page too-

Coming back to the film, there is a lot of speculation around Nerkonda Paarvai and we hear it won’t be an exact remake of Pink. Talking about the same, an insider says, “There are a few changes made to the original film. But the basic premise has not been touched.” Apart from Vidya, the Tamil version of Pink features Ajith Kumar, Shraddha Srinath, Abhirami Venkatachalam and Andrea Tariang in the lead roles. The film is scheduled to release on August 10.
