Vijay Varma popularly know as ‘Moeen’ from Gully Boy and now for his double role in Mirzapur, is currently shooting for an upcoming web show which is a Reema Kagti directorial titled ‘Fallen’.
Recently in an interview with a leading men’s fashion magazine, Vijay Varma shared, “Gully Boy fixed a lot of things. The only constant till then was: We love you as an actor, but can’t cast you for this part. Which reminded me of what Irrfan [Khan] sahab used to tell me _‘Iss sheher mein log taareef kartein hain, kaam koi nai deta.’_ That went away. The choices increased. From ‘we want to try you for this’ it became ‘we want you for this.”
He further expressed, “I just wanted to be a busy actor and that’s happening,” said Vijay smiling as he added, “I don’t know how I feel about fame because I’ve lived without it for so long.” Before his career took the paradigm shift, Vijay had seen some struggles going from a theater actor to support cast. Today, the actor stands with 4 projects in his pipeline that he will be headlining as per reports.
2020 was rather fruitful for the actor where the actor kept audiences entertained with his projects like ‘She’, ‘Mirzapur 2’, ‘A Suitable Boy’ and ‘Baaghi 3’ among others. On his work canvas are, Reema Kagti’s Fallen with Sonakshi Sinha that is currently in action, Darlings with Alia Bhatt, Ok Computer with Radhika Apte and Hurdang with Nushrratt Bharuccha and Sunny Kaushal.
