Vijayashanti makes her acting comeback with Mahesh Babu’s film

Vijayashanti Srinivas is one of the most successful actors of yesteryears in Tollywood. She has given exceptional roles in films like Karthavyam, Repati Pourulu, Janaki Ramudu, Yamudiki Mogudu, et al. The actress even went on to win the state Nandi Award for her role in Pratighatana.  She has worked in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi films and was one of the highest paid actresses of her times. Known for her women-centric roles, the actress was missed on the big screen after she took a break and got into politics.

Well, the good news for all the Tollywood lovers is that she is finally making a come back. The team for superstar Mahesh Babu’s next with Anil Ravipudi have been looking for a female lead and Vijayashanti is likely to step in those shoes. While no confirmation about the same has been given, movie buffs are hoping to see the actor back on the big screen. The buzz is that Vijayashanti wants to shift her focus from politics to movies again and will give a nod to the role really soon.

Meanwhile, Rashmika Mandanna has been roped in to play one of the heroines for this film and will work with Mahesh Babu and Vijayashanti if she comes on board. Vijayashanti joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in 1998 and was shortly made the secretary of BJP’s Women’s Wing.
