Anushka Sharma’s hubby and Indian Cricket Captain Virat Kohli has been in the news over the past few weeks for a lot of reasons. From his heroic batting performance against Australia during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 to his sweet gesture for Steve Smith, he’s won several hearts. But wait till you hear why he is making headlines today! Well, the cricket star is the only Indian featuring in the Forbes list of highest-paid athletes of 2018. In fact, Virat is also the only cricketer in the list, isn’t that huge? Well, we are sure Anushka Sharma will be proud of this achievement, just as we all are.

With an estimated earning of Rs 175 crore through cricket and endorsements, Virat Kohli has grabbed the 100th spot on Forbes list of highest-paid athletes of 2018. Though there was an increase in his earnings vis-a-vis last year, he saw a drastic drop in rankings. In Forbes list of highest-paid athletes of 2017, Kohli had bagged the 83rd spot. But this year, he has dropped 17 places! But the fact that he has been the only Indian in this list for two years is a huge deal. What do you all think? In the Forbes list of highest-paid athletes of 2018, Lionel Messi has grabbed the top spot. He earned Rs 900 crore through football and endorsements last year. Rival Cristiano Ronaldo is second with an estimated earning of Rs 760 crore!
