The song launch of Vijayi Bhav from Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi was a grand affair, befitting the Queen. The trailer of the film showcases the brave and fierce warrior queen and the song Vijayi Bhava only adds to that grandeur. The music directors Shankar- Ehsaan-Loy can take a bow for their goose-flesh inducing number that rouses patriotic fervour. The lyrics by Prasoon Joshi hit the right chords and sung in Sukhwinder Singh’s impactful voice, the song will certainly stay with you long after you cease listening to it.  Looking regal dressed in a Tarun Tahiliani saree, Kangana’s queen-like entry created quite a buzz. Also present at the launch were actresses Ankita Lokhande, Mishti and Unnati, as well as Prasoon, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, and producer Shariq Patel.

The song launch was followed by a question-answer session. When asked about any change in the release date of Manikarnika to avoid box office clash with Thackeray, the actress revealed that she was under no pressure to shift the release date of her film. “No one pressurised us and no one even told us to change any date,” she shared. However, at one point the actress seemed to lose her cool when questioned about ‘chest-thumping patriotism’ and about people who don’t believe in showing off their love for the country. While the rest of the team were confused on stage, she walked back and continued the question answer session. Meanwhile, Prasoon added, “Kisine yeh banaya hai ki it’s uncool to love your country!”

Directed by Kangana Ranaut and Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi, the film will release on January 25. How excited are you for this one? Share with us your thoughts in the comments section below! Also stay tuned to Cine Blitz as we get you all the updates about the movie right here.
