With ‘Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat’, Anurag Kashyap presents audiences with his ode to modern love. Starring Alaya F and debutante Karan Mehta, the coming-of-age film captures two tragic love stories and an uncanny coincidence as told by the Guru of Love- DJ Mohabbat. And while the teaser and trailer of the film and its quirky and unconventional music that marks Kashyap’s third collaboration with maestro Amit Trivedi has already caught audiences’ attention, everyone’s asking the key question ‘Who is DJ Mohabbat?’
Rumour mills have it that the filmmaker was in conversation with several leading men in Bollywood and finally zeroed in on his ideal ‘DJ Mohabbat’, whose name is being tightly kept under wraps. Speculations are rife on whether the narrative by Anurag’s DJ Mohabbat is voiced by a superstar who is synonymous with romantic films or a millennial star who’s captured the attention of young-India.
While details remain unknown at this juncture, the makers will soon unravel the mystery as the release of ‘Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat’ is nearly a month away. ‘Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat,’ starring Alaya F and Karan Mehta who marks his debut. The film is touted to be Anurag Kashyap’s ode to modern love. Presented by Zee Studios under the Good Bad Films production is slated to release on 3rd February 2023.
