Shah Rukh Khan has finally spoken about his next film project after zero. The star revealed that he would only be announcing his next project by June. In an interview with a Chinese news channel, SRK also spoke about the failure of Zero at the box office. “Unfortunately Zero itself wasn’t received too well back home in India. Maybe I made the wrong film, maybe I did not do the right storytelling so I am a little wary how it will be received here and I hope people here will like it,” he said, referring to the fact that Zero has been chosen as the closing film for the Beijing International Film Festival 2019.
The film was about Buaa Singh (Shah Rukh Khan) who has dwarfism. He meets, falls in love with a scientist diagnosed with cerebral palsy (Anushka Sharma), while also being involved with another woman, an actress played by Katrina Kaif. Talking about it further, Khan said “When it went wrong, I felt bad. That it got rejected by so many people… when you make a film like that for three years and it goes wrong… you get not depressed or anything but…I didn’t want to see it. I am going to see it after three months. Maybe I will be able to figure out when I am away what went wrong with it.”
