Ranveer Singh is currently in a happy space personally and professionally too. Apart from getting married to Deepika Padukone last year, the B-town hunk delivered two blockbusters in the form of Padmaavat and Simmba. And now Ranveer is once again in the news because of his latest release Gully Boy. Co-starring Alia Bhatt, the musical drama opened to rave reviews after it got screened at the 69th Berlin International Film Festival. No wonder, the film is now on its way to minting big money at the Indian box office. But apart from that, Gully Boy has also impressed Hollywood superstar Will Smith.
Yes, you heard that right! Ranveer’s film is indeed making noise all across the globe. Smith, who is a rapper himself, posted a video on his Instagram story and praised the actor for doing a film like Gully Boy. In the video, the Men In Black actor says, ‘Yo Ranveer, Congrats man. I am loving what you doing with Gully Boy. Me being an old school hip-hop kid, seeing hip-hop all over the world like that! I am loving it man. Congrats. Go get them.” Wow, now that’s a huge compliment right? Especially since its coming from an actor and a rapper like Will Smith, who is considered as one of the most powerful celebs in the world. Well, the way things are shaping up for Ranveer professionally, we think 2019 will also be a successful year for him. After Gully Boy, Singh has started prepping for ’83. It will roll immediately. He will also be seen in Karan Johar’s magnum opus Takht. Also starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar, Vicky Kaushal, Janhvi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor, the film goes on floors around later this year.
