On the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (June 26), senior star Sanjay Dutt shared a powerful message on his social media. The Kalank actor has been a part of the Drug Free India campaign started by spiritual leader, Sri Sri Ravishankar.

Being involved in drug abuse himself in the past, Sanjay Dutt shared a video on social media, asking fans to stop listening to people who insist on taking drugs, be it friends, family, colleagues or anyone else. He captioned the video: “Having been a victim of drug abuse myself, I feel responsible to do my bit in spreading awareness about this menace. It was a moving experience to initiate the #DrugFreeIndia campaign earlier this year with guruji @srisriravishankar. Today on #WorldDrugDay, let us continue our mission” Check out the post here:

The Drug Free India Campaign was started in February this year by Sri Sri Ravishankar. Besides Sanjay Dutt, many other celebrities have been a part of this campaign including Parineeti Chopra, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha, Baadshah, Kapil Sharma and Varun Sharma. We too hope that this video creates a powerful impact on the general public and we move a step ahead in the fight against drug abuse.
