Director Ritesh Batra’s next directorial Photograph is all set to hit the screens on March 8. The film stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Sanya Malhotra in lead roles and the first look has our heart. But before its theatrical release, the film will have its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival (January 23 to February 2) and will also be screened at the Berlin Film Festival (February 7-17). Being selected for two of the biggest film festivals is a huge deal and we are damn proud on the film’s inclusion. Photograph has already started creating a buzz internationally and there’s much excitement around its release here. Sanya and Nawaz will be working together for the first time and it will be fun to watch this fresh and unusual pairing on the big screen. Creating characters and building chemistry between them is Batra’s forte and let’s see if he can work that magic with this pair.
Photograph is a story about a struggling photographer from Mumbai, who is pressurised by his grandmother to marry. In order to get away with the situation he convinces a shy stranger to pose as his fiancée. The pair develops a connection that transforms them in ways they had least expected. The story is fresh and looking at Batra’s past work we expect this to be a heart-warming one. How excited are you to watch the fresh pair on screen? Let us know in the comments section below!

Whereas Sanya was last seen in Badhaai Ho alongside Ayushmann Khurrana and the film was loved by critics and was also a huge success at the box office. Ritesh Batra is known for his last film Lunchbox, which was a winner at many national and international festivals including the most prestigious Cannes Film Festival. Batra won the Grand Golden Rail at Cannes for the direction of Lunchbox.
