yFX founder Sherry Bharda invited as a member by The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Science

The Academy Awards members list is having a new addition every passing day, after Anupam Kher, Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap and a few others a new person has joined the bandwagon today (July 10). The new member is Sherry Bharda, the founding member of yFX, the visual effects division of Yash Raj Films. Sherry has been invited by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Science to be a member.

This also comes as a full circle for Sherry who has worked on the Oscar nominated film Lagaan in the beginning of her career back then. Starting her career with films like Mohbbatein, Lagaan and Mission Kashmir she went on to work on recent hits like Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Neerja. Sherry also has international projects like The Darkest Hour, Gulliver’s Travel and the HBO show Luck to her credit.

 The Academy members list already has Zoya, Anupam, Anurag, Ritesh Batra and Srinivas Mohan. This time the Academy has decided to be more inclusive and global. For more updates and gossip, stay tuned to CineBlitz.
