Salman Khan’s soon-to-release production Notebook is making quite an impact with the romantic buffs, who are eagerly awaiting the film to hit the screens. The new jodi – Pranutan Bahl and Zaheer Iqbal – that is being launched in the film is also being much spoken about for their refreshing chemistry and the adorable camaraderie the two share with the child actors on screen. The film’s upbeat and romantic tracks too have made it an instant hit with music-lovers. In fact, Salman has even lent his voice to a song which is being lapped up by the star’s fans. Add to that the stunningly shot picturesque locales of Kashmir. Little wonder then that the National-award winning director Nitin Kakkar’s romantic film has become one of the most-awaited films in the genre. Going by the response the film has been getting on the social media platforms, Notebook is just not generating interest here but in the international markets too.
And now the leading production house and one of the most highly regarded international film distribution companies in recent times Yash Raj Films has bought the rights of Salman Khan’s Notebook to release it in the overseas markets. It may be recalled that YRF had earlier also distributed Salman’s Tubelight overseas. The 2017 Kabir Khan film had marked Salman’s first collaboration with YRF for the overseas territories. And now with Notebook, they are collaborating once again.
Notebook is being said to be rather close to Salman Khan’s heart and he is known to be personally looking into the film’s promotions and marketing as well. The film’s leading lady is Pranutan Bahl, who is the daughter of Mohnish Bahl and the grand-daughter of legendary actress Nutan. The film directed by Nitin Kakkar has been extensively shot in Kashmir and is slated to release on March 29. The film has been produced by Salman and Salma Khan, Murad Khetani and Ashwin Varde.
