The experimental film which has been released on Brown Pitch (You Tube) revolves entirely around a group of friends who decide to get on a video call to celebrate the engagement of their friends. One amongst them receives a mysterious pen drive, which has a video of a strange girl who’s requesting them not to play the game or else she will die. They decide to give all of it a shot which ends up being a really eerie game.

At the outset, this small film ‘Listen to Me’ is a very relatable film about an unusual incident that occurs in the life of a group of friends who connect on a video call to celebrate the engagement of their friends. The film abounds with several surreal elements of suspense, thrill, and horror with the lockdown period in the background.

The editing and mixing team involving Pravin Kaskar, Kushal Soni, Archit and Smit have done a commendable job. The constant clicking sound of the mouse and the repetitive shifting of on screen windows give us an out of the world eerie feeling of deja vu. Although the story and screenplay have several loopholes, the film can surely be watched once for its unique presentation and realistic touch.

You can watch the film here:

Kushal Soni has not succeeded in translating what he has written into the screen as a director and falls short somewhere badly. As far as performances of the actors go, I should say that barring one or two, all the actors including Ashwini Koul, Saloni Khanna, Kajol Chugh, Sankalp Joshi, Aditya Pandey, Gurleen Grewal, and Megha Burman have given realistic and credible performances and etch out their respective roles with finesse and aplomb.

All said and done, Listen to Me is a small tacky and abstract film which definitely lacks production values and hence can be termed very experimental in nature and sadly may not be fathomed or even understood by each and every one in the audiences.
