Hasti DoshiAt the end of the film Simmba, producer-director Rohit Shetty made a big reveal that he will be doing another film on cops along with actor Akshay Kumar. This huge announcement got the entire B-town buzzing and even the fans couldn’t contain their excitement. The film they are working on is titled Sooryavanshi and looks like the director is really pumped up about the project. At an event, the filmmaker shared that he worked as a body double for Akshay in the film Suhaag and their association goes a long way back. They even met during the shoot for the television show Khatron Ke Khiladi.
Further adding to that Rohit says, “He started the show, I am hosting the show. Yes, we have respect for each other. Now that we are making a film together, I feel a sense of achievement.” The film Sooryavanshi will star Akshay in the lead but no other details are out about the project yet. The film is slated to release next year.
After getting us all excited for Sooryavanshi, when Rohit was asked if he would ever make a film about a female cop, guess what he said. Rohit said that he will surely make one as he has a story in mind but he won’t say who is suitable for the role yet as it could ensure a barrage of calls from the leading ladies of B-town.
