Actor Ashoka Thackur, whose music video Naina Lage Tose was released on Independence Day, says that the project is very special to him. The actor says that there are some scenes in the video which are sure to move people. “The music video is very special for me because it’s an army-based story and it is very touching, very beautifully shown. Scenes like when he leaves his wife because he has to go for his duty in Rajasthan. They leave everything here just to serve the nation. You don’t even know if they’ll come back or not. There’s this scene where I definitely got tears in my eyes because they both don’t know if he will return back home or not. But for them, duty comes first. And there’s another scene when he gets to know that his wife is pregnant and his holidays are approved and he’s coming home to be there for her. So, there are few scenes in this song that will touch your heart. I’m so happy that it released on 15th August. It’s a very proud moment for me. The feeling, I cannot express that in words. I’m so happy,” he says.
Talking about the shoot, he says, “It is shot in Rajasthan. Also, we shot in different locations in Rajasthan like Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Kishangarh, and Barmer. The girl paired opposite me is Ruby Choudhary. She’s from Rajasthan and she’s a fabulous actor.”

Ashoka says that he loved playing the role of a fauji. “When I was playing this character, I was feeling so overwhelmed that I couldn’t express myself in words for the army. They sacrifice so much, Family, kids, everything and even sacrifice their life without fear. I feel very proud. It was a pleasure playing the role of a fauji because I got to know so much about what the Army means to us. When they leave their home to go on the Border for war and sacrifice their life. What their family must have been going through, we have no idea about all of these things,” he says.
The actor adds that he loves shooting patriotic content. “Whenever we shoot music videos based on the army, you feel patriotic. I remember working in a play that was based on the army as well. So, my heart is filled with patriotic feelings now as well. We all feel like we should also just serve our nation like the army does. I feel very proud of our Indian Army and also their families,” he says.
Ashoka adds that he would love to play a soldier in the future as well. “I would love to play the role of a Fauji. In fact, maybe you will see me as a Fauji in my upcoming series. We’re still in conversation and it’s not yet confirmed but I would definitely love to play that role. Also, I would like to work in army-based movies, web series, anything.”
