The audiences always like to watch films which are embellished by malicious and soothing songs. The viewer will be able to watch the tale of a peasant in the forthcoming film Kaali Maati which has already fetched around 399 awards. Director  Hemantkumar Mahale has narrated the inspiring story of the national award winning and progressive peasant Dnyaneshwar Bodke. The relationship between a peasant and his bull is a very intricate and intimate one, which can never be separated. Taking a cue from this, Hemantkumar has set out to present a song based on a peasant and his bull. One major highlight as well as the novelty of the film Kaali Maati is that it boasts of a song on a bull and peasant which has hitherto not been shown in any film in Marathi till date.

Hemantkumar Mahale has not only directed the film which has won many awards at several International film festivals in India, Singapore, Malaysia, France, Europe, London, America, but also produced the film. The film has been embellished by a star cast comprising Ompraksh Shinde, Aetashaa Sansgiri, Diksha Bhor, Bhagwan Pachore, Poonam Patil, P.K. Waghmare etc. Omprakash has enacted the role of Dnyaneshwar Bodke in the film. Lyricist Kalyan Ugale has written the song on the bull while Avinash-Vishwajeet duo has composed the number. Dr. Gauri Kavi and Priyanka Mitra have sung the number. At Khed, near Pune, the song was picturised. ‘Sun Aala Bail Polyacha’ are the words of the song. The song has a blend of classical, lavni, folklore and lejheem. Since the sequence needed rangois in large size, the entire area was embellished grandly. Lollipop has choreographed the number while.

Hemantkumar Mahale reiterates, “All the villagers get together to celebrate Bail Pola festival and worship the bull and feed them. Thereafter lovely traditional dances are on display, besides lavni dances where a lot of villagers and the bulls participate with gay abandon. Till date, no Marathi film has featured any song on Bail Pola other than Kaali Maati. Since the subject of the film is based on the peasants, it is shown that the bull is the real companion of the peasant. The bull and the peasant are two inseparable constituents. Bail Pola is the only festival where bulls are worshipped. The bulls which work round the clock the whole year are allowed to rest and relax for a day and worshipped and garlanded. The function is conducted on a lavish scale by the peasants in the village, with great enthusiasm. Since the film is based on the farmers, the song has been conceived and composed keeping in mind the Bail Pola. The song has also been picturised on a grand scale with aesthetics.

While Mayur Adkar has written the screenplay of the film, the dialogues have been penned by Anil Raut and Hemantkumar Mahale. Suresh Suvarna & Raja Phadtare have cranked the camera. Subhiraj Rajput is the editor of the film Kaali Maati which is slated for release shortly all over Maharashtra.
