Henna BrarThe trailer of Gully Boy and the song Apna Time Aayega dropped online recently, and received great reviews from all quarters. Starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in lead roles, the Zoya Akhtar directorial is based on the life of street rappers in Mumbai. After the makers released the song Apna Time Aayega, fans have been eagerly waiting to hear other songs from the film. Mere Gully Mein, the title track of Gully Boy just released and the fans couldn’t have been happier.
The song has been composed by rappers Divine and Naezy with Sez on the beat. Ranveer, Divine and Naezy are on the vocals, getting it right in every beat. The movie is said to be inspired by Divine and Naezy and their rise to fame from being Gully Boys from the streets of Mumbai, to now performing to stadium-packed crowds. This track is infectious to say the least and it will get you to press the repeat button on loop. Ranveer flares up the track with much-needed energy and swag and pulls it off like a champ, making us wonder if he was born to be a rapper alongside an actor. Gully Boy is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner of Excel Entertainment in association with Tiger Baby, and also features Alia Bhatt, Kalki Koechlin in pivotal roles.
