Singer-musician Zellix: “I made Sabar back in 2021 in a small room with very little equipment”

Abhishek aka Zellix is making waves in the music industry with his latest track, “Sabar.” Zellix shares his journey, inspirations, and future plans in a candid conversation.

Zellix’s journey in the music industry began in 2012 when he was just 12 years old. “I started by producing music in the electronic genre, inspired by video game music and artists like Hardwell, Skrillex, and Martin Garrix,” he explains. Over the years, his skills improved, and he gained recognition as a music producer. Eventually, he ventured into pop and hip-hop, showcasing his singing talent in his tracks starting in 2019. “I perform, produce, compose, write, mix, and master all of my tracks by myself, which gives me a lot of flexibility. And of course, I feel very proud of it,” Zellix adds.

The inspiration behind “Sabar,” his latest track, stems from the emotions associated with waiting and longing. “I made ‘Sabar’ back in 2021 in a small room with very little equipment. I just wanted to write something about the wait a person endures and how they find excuses to justify the long wait for their loved one to come back,” he says. The track’s beautiful melody and the use of a violin in the drop make it stand out, showcasing Zellix’s unique approach to incorporating unconventional instruments in pop music.

Zellix draws inspiration from various sources. “I try to feel the situations in my head before I write my songs. For example, if it’s a song about how beautiful life is, I think about all the moments in my life that made me feel like that,” he explains. Sometimes, inspiration comes from movies, real-life situations, or random thoughts. “I made ‘Sabar’ in only one day. The entire process was very smooth, except for the mixing process, which took almost 20 versions to finalize for release,” he notes. Pitching the track to T-Series marked the beginning of his journey with the label.

Looking ahead, Zellix is excited about what the future holds. “I’m really excited for what’s to come, and we have a lot of other tracks lined up. It’s an honor for me to work with T-Series,” he says. Fans can expect a lot of original music, showcasing his flexibility and versatility as an artist. “I have received a lot of love from my audience, and they have been waiting for me to drop my originals. I’m really happy that I have finally started to release my music,” he adds. With numerous collaborations and new music on the horizon, Zellix is poised for a promising future in the music industry.
