National Award winning director Nitin Kakkar’s upcoming love story Notebook has been the talk of town ever since it was announced. Of course, the fact that it is being backed by Salman Khan is a huge factor. But since its casting, all eyes have been on the lead pair that is set to to make its debut in the romantic film. The media got a glimpse of the duo, Zaheer Iqbal and Pranutan Bahl, at the film’s trailer sneak peak yesterday (February 21). However, the trailer for the public domain was released today (February 22). And we must say that the trailer has impressed the audience as it did the media and the industry!

Incidentally, February 21 also marked the death anniversary of Pranutan’s grandmother – the legendary actress Nutan. And the newbie admitted that it was an emotional moment to unveil her trailer on the same day. Well, we must say that Pranutan is well on her way to make her late grandmother proud. Her acting prowess in the trailer is really impressive. Coming to the Notebook trailer, it shows Kabir (Zaheer) connecting with Firdaus (Pranutan) through a notebook. He falls in love with her without even having met her or seen her. Since Firdaus is a teacher, there are six children who form an important part of their equation. They feature prominently in the trailer too!

The romantic drama has been shot beautifully in Kashmir. The stunning cinematography captures Kashmir’s beauty very well and it will leave you captivated too. The lead pair – Zaheer and Pranutan – look extremely promising as newcomers. For those of you who don’t know, Pranutan is the daughter of famous actor Mohnish Bahl. Zaheer Iqbal is known to be close to the Salman Khan clan as his father is a good friend of the superstar. Besides, these two debutantes, the film also features six child artistes, who will also be making their debut in Notebook. The film that is slated to release on March 29, has been produced by Salma Khan, Ashwin Varde and Murad Khetani.
