The fun-filled trailer of wazandar comedy film ‘Saroj Ka Rishta’ was launched in Mumbai

Touted as the ‘wazandar’ comedy film, the trailer of soon to be released film ‘Saroj Ka Rishta’ was released today with much funfare at Sunny Super Sound in Mumbai. During the launch of the trailer not only the star cast of the film was present but many other film and TV personalities also graced the occasion with their presence. Apart from the trailer, a few songs of the film were also shown to the media during the launch event. During the trailer launch of ‘Saroj Ka Rishta’, the star cast of the film – Sanah Kapur, Randeep Rai, Gaurav Pandey, Supriya Pathak and the director of the film Abhishek Saxena were present. Many film and TV celebrities like Helly Shah, Jyotica Tangri, Aditi Sharma, Sarwar Ahuja and many others also made their presence felt and urged the audiences to watch this film.

Interestingly, Sanah Kapur made her debut with ‘Shaandar’ and now she is playing the title role of Saroj in her upcoming film ‘Saroj Ka Rishta’. In the film it is shown how she doesn’t care about her being overweight and loves to live the way she wants to. The trailer shows how without giving a damn about her weight she freely roams the street of Gaziabad where there is no dearth of boys who lust after her and some of them are also eager to marry her!

Known to be one of the most prolific actor, Kumud Mishra is playing the important role of Saroj’s father in the film. The father-daughter relationship is the highlight of the film. Interestingly, he loves her daughter Saroj to an extent where he tells her daughter to find herself a groom who would readily agree to stay in their home, instead of Saroj leaving her home after marriage!

Sanah Kapur is the daughter of Pankaj Kapur and Supriya Pathak and sister of Shahid Kapur. Sanah expressed her happiness that she has got an opportunity to play the lead role with a difference. She said, “Without giving any importance of her bring overweight, her character Saroj lives and enjoy her life to the fullest. Somewhere in my real life I am too like Saroj. In the film the relationship shown between the father and the daughter has been beautifully presented and I am sure that audiences are going to love it”.

Sanah’s real life mother Supriya Pathak will be seen doing a special cameo in the film. Talking about the film she said, “The best thing about the film is that it tells us not to be pretentious in our behaviour and live the life as we are. That’s the biggest message and the beauty of the film.” Refusing to talk about her daughter Sanah’s character in the film she said, “I want all of you to watch the film and see yourself how good the film and her role is.”

Gaurav Pandey is playing the character of a gym instructor in the film. Talking about his role Gaurav said, “Even though my role in the film is of a gym instructor but  it’s a funfilled role and I am sure you all are going  to love the chemistry between me and Sanah in the film”.

Presented by Miicall, the film has been directed by director Abhishek Saxena. During the trailer launch of ‘Saroj Ka Rishta’ he said, “Our society needs to change their attitude towards people with weight issues because they are also normal people who behave normally like all of us. This is the message we are trying to convey to our audiences through this film”.

This wazandar’ comedy film ‘Saroj Ka Rishta’ has been jointly produced by Kapoor Films, Aena Productions, Ambhi Abhi Productions and Garg Films. The film will have a worldwide theatrical release on 16 September, 2022.
