Bollywood star Ayushmann Khurrana launched his journey by claiming victory in the second season of MTV Roadies and then moved into hosting duties. He stepped into movies with Vicky Donor back in 2012 and has given audiences many popular films since then. The talented performer recently showed up as a guest on the popular singing competition Indian Idol, where he delivered a live rendition of his track Dil Wale Chor from the movie Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, winning over judges Shreya Ghoshal and Vishal Dadlani with his heartfelt delivery.

On Thursday, Ayushmann posted a clip of his on-stage appearance on Indian Idol, showing him seated with a guitar as he sang the song. The actor remembered how the program had turned him away years earlier during his tough early period, and now he stood on that very platform as a successful artist. His co-stars from Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, including Wamiqa Gabbi, Sara Ali Khan, and Rakul Preet Singh, seemed captivated by his musical talent.
Together with the clip, Ayushmann wrote a note explaining it was the longer take of Dil Wale Chor reprise that he presented on the show. He described the experience as surreal since this was the identical platform that had dismissed him back in his challenging times. He expressed gratitude for the appreciation shown toward both the track and the motion picture. Shreya and Vishal appeared delighted during his act and offered loud encouragement. Senior performer Helen was spotted clapping enthusiastically once he finished.
Viewers also poured affection on Ayushmann’s musical showcase. One admirer said it was impressive and highlighted his many skills. Someone else noted that while another singer was fine, Ayushmann’s tone on this number stood out amazingly. A different follower mentioned it gave off a certain earthy fragrance feel. Yet another person shared how his singing voice felt soothing and enchanting, sending love to the star.
Ayushmann currently stars in Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, which hit screens on May 15. This project features Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, and Wamiqa Gabbi in major parts alongside him and drew a variety of opinions after opening. Up to now, the production has earned 32 crore rupees across the globe along with 27.14 crore rupees net inside India.
He is set to appear next in Sooraj Barjatya’s fresh project titled Yeh Prem Mol Liya. Sharvari takes the female lead in this one. In the past, Salman Khan played the character Prem memorably in multiple Sooraj Barjatya pictures such as Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Saath-Saath Hain, and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, all becoming major successes. Supported by Rajshri Productions, Yeh Prem Mol Liya is planned for a theater release on November 27, 2026.
