Kamal Haasan and Shankar surprised one and all as they released an intense first-look poster of Indian 2. The sequel to the 1996 hit movie (Indian) will see the South superstar reprise his role of Senapathy. But ever since the film was announced, people were keen to know who would be the villain. We had heard that Ajay Devgn and John Abraham were in the running. But it now seems the makers have approached Abhishek Bachchan for the part!
In fact, our source revealed to us exclusively, “Shankar had even flown to Delhi. Abhishek is shooting in the capital for Breathe, so Shankar went there to narrate to him the role.” Kamal Haasan is expected to start shooting for the film soon. But Abhishek will join them only after wrapping up his web series, if everything works out! Kamal Haasan and Amitabh Bachchan had worked together for Geraftaar in 1985. So it will be quite interesting to see Amitabh’s son battling it out with Kamal Haasan in Indian 2. What do you guys think about Abhishek Bachchan playing a villain in Indian 2? Shankar has already introduced Bollywood star Akshay Kumar in one of his hit film’s sequels (2.0 alongside Rajinikanth). With the film being recieved well and the fact that it performed well in the Hindi belt, Shankar is eager to cast a Bollywood face in Indian 2 as well. It remains to be seen if Abhishek Bachchan signs this film or not. Post Breathe, he doesn’t have any film in his kitty that we know of. So we are sure he will be able to work his dates out! Anyway, stay tuned to Cine Blitz as we get you all the updates about Indian 2 right here!
