After impressing one and all with her portrayal of Rani Laxmibai, Kangana Ranaut is all set for another biopic. While she confirmed that she will star in her own biopic, looks like her next is something completely different. She is all set to portray the fearless political leader Jayalalithaa in Thalaivi (Tamil) / Jaya (Hindi). The former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister was one of the most loved and followed personalities. She was an actor-turned-politician who worked for the betterment of her people. However, we know that every biopic needs permission from the family members of the person being spoken about, especially if he/she is not a historical figure. So who granted permission for Jayalalithaa’s biopic to be made? As always we have all the exclusive deets!

Jayalalithaa had a small family, with a couple of real siblings. While she never got married or had children, her niece Deepa and nephew Deepak were like her children. Both are children of her brother, Jayakumar. So when it came to permission for the Jayalalithaa biopic, the duo took a decision. As Vishnu Vardhan Induri, the co-producer of the biopic revealed to us exclusively, “Jayalalithaa’s niece and nephew gave us the permission to make the movie.”

For those of you who don’t know, AL Vijay (of Devi fame) will direct the movie. The biopic is being written by KV Vijayendra Prasad, who has worked with Kangana on Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. Jaya will be produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shaailesh R Singh. Anyway, what do you think about Kangana Ranaut portraying the role of Jayalalithaa? Share with us your thought in the comments section below!
