We all know that Canadian singing sensation Justin Bieber is no longer single and is married to 22-year-old American model Hailey Baldwin. But this news isn’t about the couple who are always grabbing the headlines. Instead, it’s about Justin and how he now has a Bollywood connection. Yup, you heard that right. The 25-year-old singer-songwriter’s father-in-law will be seen in Sharman Joshi starrer The least of These: The Graham Staines Story which is directed by Aneesh Daniel and set in the late 90s. Read on to know more details.
The biographical drama is based on the story of Graham Staines, an Australian missionary who was murdered by fundamentalists in Odisha in 1999. Actor Stephen Baldwin plays the titular role of Staines in the film. And turns out he is Hailey’s father which obviously makes him Bieber’s father-in-law. Talking about the film, it also stars Sharman Joshi and Shari Rigby in important roles. The film has already garnered a lot of praise in the US and Stephen’s performance it seems is the highlight of the movie. In India, Aneesh Daniel’s directorial venture is releasing on March 29 which is coming Friday.
Baldwin, who made his acting debut with The Beast in 1988, has over the years essayed various kinds of roles onscreen. He has done many films including The Usual Suspects, Posse, Born on the Fourth of July, Threesome and Bio-Dome. He also played the role of Barney Rubble in The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas. Baldwin even starred in the television series The Young Riders. While we can’t wait to see Baldwin and Joshi together on the big screen, the little trivia about the Justin connection has certainly made this film all the more special, no?
