Akash Ambani – Shloka Mehta Wedding: Alia Bhatt and Karan Johar were twinning in Sabyasachi couture

Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta’s wedding was surely one of the grandest this year. Right from the décor to the guest list, everything was fancy. Bollywood celebs like Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, Vidya Balan, Janhvi Kapoor and many more were seen at the wedding. Other than them, the evening also saw many socialities, designers and people from the sports fraternity.  With all these celebrities, it was a glamorous wedding.

Especially, Karan Johar’s bright yellow bandhgala jacket from Sabyasachi’s Summer-Spring 2019 collection became the highlight of the evening. He looked absolutely dapper in the ensemble. His golden reflectors perfectly complemented the whole look. What was even more amazing was to see Alia Bhatt twinning with her Brahmastra and Kalank producer. The Gully Boy actress wore a bright yellow lehenga from Sabyasachi’s Summer-Spring 2019 collection, looking drop-dead gorgeous.

We wonder if they had planned this fashion antic because KJo is loyal to designer Manish Malhotra when it comes to fashion. But wearing another label this time looks quite a conscious effort on the director-producers part. Alia wore Sabyasachi at Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s reception too, and, we know it has been working for her. But what surprised us was Karan wearing Sabyasachi. While we saw the Brahmastra boys hanging out together at Akash and Shloka’s wedding, the film’s leading lady came in much later, yet she managed to fit in Karan’s space by twinning with her mentor.
