Cult Hollywood film Forrest Gump’s Hindi remake has been making headlines since quite some time. Involving the perfectionist Aamir Khan, the film is finally confirmed. Yes, the man himself spoke about working on the remake of the film which is titled Lal Singh Chadha and we have all the details you would want to know. Read below.

Speculations had it that Aamir’s son Junaid has been roped to play the lead in the adaptation produced by Aamir himself. Putting rumours to rest Aamir today announced that he himself will be playing the lead. On the occasion of his 54th birthday, Aamir in a media interaction said, “I have finalized my next, it is titled Lal Singh Chadha and it is an official adaptation of Forrest Gump.” He also added that they have bought the rights of the film from Paramount Films. The film will be co-produced by Aamir Khan Productions and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. The actor will be reuniting with his Secret Superstar director Advait Chandan for the film. Giving more insights about the character Aamir said, “ I will be playing a Sardaar, so in a few scenes I will be wearing a turban.” We are super excited to see Aamir in this never seen before avatar. The news is also that the actor has to lose 20 Kgs for the role. The casting of the film is still in process and there will be new additions soon. The release date is not out, but the film will be releasing anytime next year.

Forrest Gump is a cult Hollywood film about an intellectually disabled man played by Tom Hanks in the unique fable that won millions of hearts and has six Oscars to its credit.
